if its 2" or greater then yes. they recommend wider rims but alot of people run stock rims. and stock rims are your best bet for not rubbing. i have 34x12.5/17 stock. i have flexed the **** out of her and can't get it to rub one bit

Assuming you are 4wd they should fit with minimal rubbing at full turn. Some have had to get 1/4 inch spacers. 295/70/18 is a great alternative size.

Yes, a 12.5" wide tire will fit on the stock 7.5" wheels; there are guys on here and a lot over on JeepForum (the JK also uses 7.5" factory wheels) that employ that width of tire. The only thing is that you'll be outside "recommended fitment."

You may also need wheel spacers if you plan to run a wider tire; otherwise, you run the risk of rubbing the inner fender (lining) up front [full turn/wheel lock]. I personally do not like spacers; there are plenty of people that employ them with with zero issues, but there are also those 1% horror stories of them sheering off at highway speeds - no thanks. Opinions aside, you can't get over the fact that many tire shops won't touch spacers [red flag as far as I'm concerned] and they constitute an additional point of adjustable contact on a part that carries considerable risk should failure occur (i.e. more dangerous than a failing alternator).

yeah i got 4wd, and i got the RC leveling kit. i was just wondering about the 12.5 wide tires since none of the manufacturers recommends 7.5 with but yeah ill never run wheel spacers id get new rims instead, the possibility of a spacer failing at 65+ isn't worth it
