Default better programmer

I have a 05 f150 with a 5.4. I've been looking for a programmer for it. I wanna go with the edge, but seen on here where people have trans prob after using it. What is everyone else usin? I want on for better fuel milage and for towing.

Also, there are a TON of threads having to do with different brands of programmers in general if you use the search function.......

I personally don't have one but from what I do understand of them programmers don't cause failure but enhance problems that are already there? At least that is how it was explained to me in short. I am sure there are things you can do to make things extremely hard on the tranny, but again, I don't have any hands on experience.

That thread is 4 years old... and I agree with you on the enhanced problems.
