Hey all....
i have a 04 screw with 63,000 on it and i have never seen anything near 15...
i have been at 9.1 since i bought the truck... i have done plugs, phasers, fuel filter,
....... now i do have a s&b cai.....flow master 40...rancho quick lift in the front
and 3" blocks in the rear...also a 89 performance tune from 5star on an x3...
am i missing something ?
now i didn't buy this truck with gas mileage on my mind... but when i hear some people getting 12,13,14.... makes me wonder... .
now i do like to hear her once and a while... but most of the time i keep her under 2k

Many of those mods are going to be counter-productive to economy.

Also, unsure of your driving style, do you have the original window sticker for the truck?

Sorry to hear about 9 mpg but ive got an 08 w/ 5.4 and 4x4. I can normally get about 17-18 on the highway at around 70 mph. I did get 19.5 hand calculated once. Stock size tires w/ magnaflow catback. I( get about 15 around town.

33's especially if they are aggressive are killing you more then anything.

the lift will hurt as well.

The intake is fine now that your gonna get tuned

X2 Cannot have both more power and better fuel mileage. That's just the nature of the beast.

Also X2. No truck is gonna get great fuel mileage. They may get great mileage for a truck, but not great mileage in general. It's a truck.

Pick your battle with the 5.4l. Drive it easy, stay up on maintenance, and it will get OK mileage and will last a long time.

OR

Mod it out, burn up more fuel, and have fun ;-)

Let's see the window sticker for kicks, you can pull it up via vin with a tool here in the forums. I'd just like to see the options once. Here: https://www.f150forum.com/f4/get-fre...ticker-124846/

Going up and being further from the ground will hurt MPG. With the evo, try a tow tune.
