Default Best Gear Ratio for 35's

I just put 35" Nitto AT's on the truck, love the look. However, I noticed the truck runs at a much lower RPM, at 65 its like 1,800 RPM. Im trying to find the best balance between power and fuel efficiency.

I was looking through some catalogs and noticed that 4Wheel Parts recommends 4.56:1 for 35" tires. Seams a little excessive to me. Im getting relatively good fuel milage for this truck and tire combo, around 18.5 MPG. I would like to keep that or even improve it if possible. Admittedly I'm not going to be using this truck to bash down trails. Thats what my KTM 500 XC-W is for so this is mealy a camping, get to the trail head, bash through some snow in the winter, make girls hike up their skirts to get it and keep me looking sexy doing it! lol

I run 4.56's with 33's....... I do plan to go to 35's next.... It perfect gear for that size tire.

I have 3.55 and want to run 35's...will this cause any issue. I have an Edge Evo and that allows me to change that...does that help? The whole gearing set up is a bit over my head. Thanks!

The gearing and programer will go hand in hand..... Everyone gets hung up on rpm for gas mileage. Load is more important than rpm.

I would not waste the money for 2 sets of gears just to run 35's

I run 3.73's and 35's... You'd loose mpg with 4.56 or 4.88 but you'll have power... You can't have both...

Im running 373's with 35's also and with the edge and custom tunes I think it has plenty of power. The gears would help out the trans some though.
