I have a 04 Lariat SCAB (4x4) and I want to put a 6" kit on it. I was looking at RC, but I've been looking on the forums and I've only read bad things. I'd mainly be driving on the road, but maybe once a month go mudding. I'm a junior in high school, and I have a job, so it wouldn't really be a money problem. I don't mind saving up for a kit either.

zone has a great kit. theres a bunch out there if money is no issue. the only bad thing ive read on the rcx kit is the alignment being thrown off easily or something. but i kno people with that kit and they havent had any issues at all.

they all go on about the same way...I hear good things about RCX...not all bad

I have a zone 6" and love it. The only thing is that it doesn't seem as high in the front as most 6" lifts i see but i still love it.

I've heard that RCX can't take a beating like most can. I don't plan on going offroad every single day, just a little mud bogging once a month. Plus RCX is cheaper.

if u dont go off roading alot the rcx is a fine kit to go with. that kit can take some mudding ive seen it myself. and they take it off roading several times a month. if ur a serious off road thats when the more expensive kits come in handy. the rcx is more for looks and minimal off road use

Yeah It works just fine. It's stiff but the only way get around that is a whole new coilover kit

You will need suspension lift kit.
Body lifts can create problems with stress when the truck flexes while traveling over uneven ground or large bumps. DO NOT EVER USE HOCKEY PUCKS FOR LIFTING TRUCKS they will dry out and start crumbling apart with age and are very hazardous. You should also never install any sort of lift blocks in the front suspension as they can cause the axle to fold under during heavy braking.
Suspension lift kits are designed to increase a vehicle’s ground clearance and are the type of lift kits most often used with trucks and 4x4s. A suspension lift kit works by raising the suspension of a car through the replacement of the front and rear shocks and leaf springs. In general, a suspension lift kit will elevate a vehicle between 4 and 6 inches above its stock stature, though extreme lift kits can reach elevations up to 18 inches. These taller kits can severely impact the car’s handling, however, making them dangerous to drive.
