did you retune for the ethanol?
here's a page from the svtperformance.com site for E85 featuring numerous examples of cars making more power on E85

The conversation I had with the Ford dealership is the only proof I have, and its due to the lack of upper cylinder lubrication, gasoline itself lubricates but nothing about ethanol does.
As for ethanol running out the tailpipe, sorry man there's no way. I am under the understanding that when ethanol Burns its by product it water and CO2. But there are others on here who are far more knowledgeable on that than I.
Also, if an engine and fuel system is designed entirely to burn ethanol then I would agree, as long as the price of ethanol drops, that it would be a good alternative. But what we have today, the way engines are designed now, pure gasoline is the way to go.

LOL at everyone who believes what they read.
It's very simple. Walk into any motorcycle, marine, small engine, or automotive engine repair shop and ask them their opinion on ethanol.

I use an additive in my fuel for all my engines.

Octane reduces overall combustive properties of fuel. It's a control agent, designed to delay & stretch the point of ignition. beneficial for high compression "ratio" & to an extent, higher "rate" of compression engines.

Stock at approx. 9:1 ratio, our truck's are specifically engineered to run on 87 octane. Running higher octane wreck's havoc on these engines, as at the point of each spark ignition, lacking adequate compression to fully ignite, incompletely detonated fuel is left on the table. Mucking up the joint!

W/o adequate compression, higher octane cannot produce more horsepower. In fact just the opposite.

At stock compression as mentioned above, overall combustive properties of E85, because of it's higher octane level is less than it's unadulterated unleaded counterparts at lower octane levels.

I noticed the way you use manipulated government figures to argue the favor of ethanol in our lives...The truth is that the oil in production at this current time is far less then what is required to sustain the caliber and quality of life we have all come to enjoy. Ethanol however requires more energy to produce then it can actually yield, therefor making it a waste of good already produced resources that are in short supply due to inflation caused by these sort of idealogical ideas perpetrated by the same people you trust to hinge your analysis off of...in other words...ethanol sucks, there is alot of water in it and it also takes alot of water and oil to make it...its junk and its only existence is to water down an otherwise good quality gasoline to make it seem like there is more of it....

Yep retuned for ethanol, runs like shi#,ethanol sucks like I said pour each on a fire and see what burns faster & and think about what one would ignite better & easier from a sparkplug. You can belive the government if you want cause everybody knows they (don't) lie right??they also think it's a good idea to give em your guns so go ahead & do that also if their always right.
