before and after leveling kit
I had a mechanic that I found on Craigslist do mine. He charged me $80 for the install. We did it in his backyard. It's not a complicated job to do, but you should definitely have some air tools and big pry bars and sockets for the job. Definitely follow the mfr's instructions. We tried to take some shortcuts on the first one and they didn't work out and we ended up losing some time because of it. The second one went in much quicker once we knew how to do it. It took us about an hour to do it.
a friend had the leveling kit and was getting a 6 in lift installed at our local ford dealership. i bought the leveling kit from him and got the dealership to install it on my truck when they took it off his. so i really dont know who the manufacturer is.
i got TUFF COUNTRY brand, yes installed it myself, you will need a strut spring compressor, i rented one from auto zone, it was kind of sketchy on my springs i think it was meant for smaller struts, but it got the job done.
