I'm not sure what you mean by "regular 5.4L". Mine is a 5.4L and I have had no issues with it whatsoever.

Sorry, I didn't know if there was anything different besides the intake. Like are the intakes that come stock on your truck bolt onto a 5.4 with a normal intake system?

there are hoods exactly like that which have a cut out over where ur filter is with a cold air intake. Buddy of mine had a dual ram hair hood identical but with the cut out underneath on the far right. Does that make senses haha

Mine has a cutout directly over the factory intake. They make an air box that slides into the factory filter location that makes the hood functional. It comes with a K&N filter which allows more air to be forced into the engine through the hood. You have to seal off the factory intake hose. Otherwise, you would get unfiltered air flowing into your engine. Here's a pic of how mine is setup.

How did you seal the OEM one off?
And is there anywhere to buy a setup like yours?
I saw the ones that Surkanos mentioned that are over on the side.

Very nice. Is that a package or a custom? Never seen one like it.

Thanks! It was part of the Tuscany package however, the hood was not functional. I have made my own mods to personalize it so the Tuscany badging will soon be removed. I've got additional mods planned as well but that's going to be a few thousand dollars down the road.

The air box I ordered came with a pre-cut plastic disc that you attach to the end of the intake hose with an automotive adhesive and silicone. I paid $250 for the kit which included the K&N filter. I'll hop online and see if I can find a link to the kit.

Edit: link is below. It's gone up a bit in price.

Just to clarify, the hood was already installed when I purchased my truck.

Thanks, that is what I was looking for. I would really like to order one with the hood at the same time.

You're welcome. I believe they also sell the ram air hood that goes with the air box/intake. If all else fails, just google 04-08 f150 APM Ram Air Hood. There will be quite a few results.
