I have a 2008 SCrew with a 6 1/2' bed. I have a crossover toolbox that is mounted on top of the bed rails next to the cab.

I'm beginning to think I want a bed cover to keep some extra things dry while we are traveling. I might use the cover once a month or less. I'd like to hear from others who have a toolbox and a bed cover behind it. I've seen the tonneau kind and the hard kind. I think I want the tonneau kind.

So if anyone can share any experiences they've had good or bad, manufacturers, recommendations, etc., I would appreciate it.

 

Just ran across this post. I haven't been on for a while. Sorry for the delay. I have an Extang Toolbox tonneau on my truck and love it. It is the soft vinyl style that can be rolled up out of the way when necessary for larger loads. It works great and gives the truck a unique look. Install is simple and Extang's warranty is superb. I believe Extang has a couple differnent styles that will work with a tool box.
