Default BCM-How to Get a new One and have it programmed

Hi

If I need a new one (BCM), how do I order it?

Are the BCMs different for Keyless Entry? I have Keyless Entry.

Do I need to get the shop to program it?

BackGround:

2006 SCREW

My Low Beam Headlights stick on 98% of the time when the Truck is de-energized. Drain Battery.

All fault finding endeavours and research points the BCM.

DRL relays and resistor and Autodim Eyeball are out of the circuit.

The dang HeadLamp switch is in the Off Position and I even swapped it out (Yes the early 2004's is different switch).

Alternator is not drawing current when Truck is Off.

Currrent draw on the feed to the fuse box.

I pull the top harness (grey plug) out from the fuse Block (covers off) when putting the Truck to sleep (vice disconnecting the battery).

Looked for opens and shorts and corrsions etc. No joy.

Can a guy open up a BCM? Relay inside?

Many many folks same sort of fault. No clear answers.

Ready to deep six her. CPUs blow.

Thanks

Doog

Yes the bcm has to be programmed and you may need two keys (not sure) , you will have a new factory keyless code! You can replace it and take it to a dealer to program

Thanks thus far.

Do I have to match BCM for year and options?

For example, will a 2005 no keyless work with a 2006 keyless entry?

Cheers

Default BCM behind back seat, it has access code printed on it

It shows on diagrams , they seem to cause a lot of battery drains when they go bad . That's all I know about it , have noticed people struggling with problems with it . There are you tube videos showing how to release seat to get to it .
