Default BBK 80mm Throttle Body

Hey guys, I have a question. I was on Stage3's website earlier, drooling over superchargers for my 5.4L Lariat. While I came to the conclusion that I want one terribly, I can't justify the $5K price tag. However, I have my eyes on a BBK throttle body kit that is pretty reasonably priced. My question is, what entails the installation of this? It is touted as a direct bolt-on, but I'm wondering if the engine would run differently with the larger amount of air coming in the intake. Would any of the computer parameters need to be changed to compensate for it?

It won't do you any good without the supercharger.

You might notice a snappier throttle when you initially crack the throttle but any actual jump in power would be 1-5hp nothing you would notice or worth the $300 you'd spend.
