I have an 07 FX4, my dashboard shut down lastnight as I was going home so I left it in a parking lot overnight. This morning I had to battery tested and the alternator checked and both were fine. Then on my way home the battery indicator on the dash would come on for a minute then go off for a minute and it did this fe about 30 minutes until I got home. Does anyone have any clues to what can cause this?

 

does it say check gauges?

 

Most likely the alternator going out. Mine also tested fine but then went out a day later. I put a new one in and issue is gone.

 

Ditto, dying alternator.
