Battery Draw
I recently replaced a dead battery in my 2006 F150 (5.4l) and found that this one is draining as well.
With the truck running the battery is being charged (14'ish volts)
The only recent add on is a trailer brake module - I unplugged it, no difference.
The stereo is factory as well.
When I check for parasitic draw I get 1.01 amps. This is too high, right? Or is it too high, because my truck has the factory remote start, keyless entry and alarm on it?
Tonight I plan on pulling fuses to see what may be causing this, but are there any common places to check with these issues?
Cheers!
Dave

Just to follow up there turned out to be no battery drain - oops I left a light on when I started checking the system.
I am still having a stalling issue while driving.
The truck starts fine, I drive it for maybe 5-10 minutes and all of a sudden it dies! If I try to crank it there is nothing. Power is there as the lights are on, radio works, but it seems like the alarm system has shut the truck down.
I push the button under the dash for the alarm, and try it again and she starts!??!
Anyone hear of this before?
Cheers!
