Default Battery bad?

I was driving home last night from a party, pulled out, stomped it and all my lights went dim and my headlights flicked off for a spit second... Is this a warning sign of something going?

I wonder if your belt needs to be re-tensioned/checked? Sounds more Alt related than battery, especially if it started with no problem.
