I was having issues like this and it was the drive belt,at 41000 miles it had no signs of wear and not once did I ever hear it slip. The service book says change at 48 months or 60k miles my trucks 47 months old and sure enough the old belt was over an inch longer then the new one. I now have a solid 14.4 volts all the time.

 

Well the battery seems to have given up. So I had a friend jump me off and I bought a d34/78 yellow from optima. The alternator test rendered 14.4v and the battery is doing fine. I could not find a draw anywhere. May still take it to the auto hobby shop to have someone check with me.
