have a 04 stx 4wd with the 4.6 motor .it has 88000 mile on it .the trans started leaking a couple of days ago and is coming from the bell housing.i figure that it is the convert and seal or could it be the pump.is this a common problem with these trucks and to be safe what all should i replace when i get it apart.thanks

 

most common is the front pump seal(convertor seal)if you get it muddy alot or live on a very dusty road gets up in there and eats up the seal
