Hi all,
My truck recently came down with a bad idle. It seems to only do it after it get ran fairly hard (highway, towing). So far its only done it a few times. The rpm's will drop and it'll knock and rattle. Usually it'll go away when I give it throttle. It did shut off on me once.

 

Cleaning the MAF sensor and throttle body usually helps with rough idles.

When is the last time you changed your fuel and air filter? When was the last time you replaced the spark plugs?

 

I havnt done any of that. I just bought the truck in August. I was told the plugs were changed but I haven't checked them out
