Bad idea or not?
Ive been having some cam phaser issues in my truck (big surprise right?) and the idea of a 4 valve swap has been rattling around in my head since the day I bought the pickup. I have seen the navi swap done in the older f150 but havnt heard of anyone doing it in the 04 up. Only concern that I can see is obviously the navi is a cable throttle our trucks are fly by wire, I have noted that the 3 valve 6.8 v10 twin blade fly by wire tb might be a solution here and I could modify the stock wiring harness say for the cam phaser solenoids and the extra cam sensor and use the factory computer with a few tweaks. I have another 5.4 shortblock laying around that I had planned on building for my cobra and a spare set of c heads. If this were possible I would pry consider building a singe 70mm turbo kit for it
to scatter everything in my driveline and build it stronger. All positive and negative comments welcome just weighing the possibilities I have a problem with leaving things the way they are.
