Default Back spacing regarding control arm question!

I need some quick advice! Can i run a 17x7.5 rim with 6 inch backspacing on 285/70/17 tires? Wasnt sure if the 6in backspacing would cause the tires to rub on the control arms. Thanks for the help in advance!

Are they stock 17" wheels? I have the 18" chrome xlt rims and from what I have found they are +44 which should equal about 5.5" back spacing depending on your suspension set up you should be ok if it's stock. I had 35x12.5" tires with just a level and they barely rubbed (upper control arm) so with your 11.2" tire you should have no problem with a 6" back space. ****just trying to help I can not guarantee but from what I have read sounds like it shouldn't be a problem****

Thanks guys. I am 99% sure it will fit too but always like other ideas. The rim is actually a 17x7.5 black steel oem rim with 6in backspacing off a friends F150 With 255/65/17 tires. When i get them i will put the 285's on and use them as a beat around wheel for the winter.
