Hello everyone, I posted awhile ago about loking at an 08 fx4 supercrew. Well, after literally weeks of haggling back and forth, I drove my new(to me) truck home yesterday. I'd had an 05 lariat before, this one has the 5.4 flex fuel engine, 97k miles, dealership serviced all its' life, nice ride! No lovely deisel sound at idle, no injectors rattling in the morning, this looks to be a better truck than my 05 was all around. Will try to post a pic later, but she's red n grey with chrome all over. Fully stock(thank goodness).

Anything I should know about this versus my 05? I hope to keep this one and keep it going for a lot more miles.

 

Just out of curiosity how many miles did your 05 have on it

 

The 05 had 107k when I got it, 119k when I traded it. The 05 wasn't stock, it had an aftermarket cold air intake. Part of the problem with the rattling engine I think. Modifications and the hard driving that no doubt came with it.

 

Did you have any of the spark plug problems I'm hearing about?
