Default Axle replacement?

Has anyone replaced their factory 8.8 with a 9.75 or 10.25?

If so, anything involved in the swap other than a new driveshaft and the usual issues? (I know, bleeding brakes, etc, looking to see if there are any hidden landmines with doing the swap)

Second question, anyone deal with everdrive? Seem to have damned good prices on axle assemblies. Planing an axle swap/regear for spring, trying to find parts.

I haven't done one, so sorry. But I was jus wondering why you're planning an axle swap? What are you planning on gaining from it? Sorry I'm not helpful, but free bump

Why? Very simple.

3 axle seals, 2 bearings, one pinion seal, the second pinion seal is weeping..... all with 70K miles on the truck. According to Ford, the reason I'm having issues is I work the truck too hard (which lead to many jokes around the garage.......)

Too many band aids, time for some corrective surgery.

I'm not sure if the speed sensors are universal, you'll need to calibrate the computer as well if it's a different ratio.

I was assuming on the calibration, thanks for the tip about the speed sensors.

Used to working on dinosaurs, not used to sensors being in rear axle assemblies.
