I work at autozone, and like everyone said, stay away from cheap.
I put Duralast gold cmax on mine. Only ceramics you can get from AZ. The ceramics are nice because they cut down on that brake dust(I'll put ceramics on every Ford I ever own). They are also kinder to the rotors. Lifetime warranty on all Duralast pads also.
Ceramics are not recommended if you do a lot of towing or extreme driving.
The Duralast rotors ain't bad if you don't want nothin fancy. AZ also can special order rebestos rotors, but I believe it's over $125 each.

I've had good luck with the autozone duralast gold, definitely stay away from the cheapest option. I've put them on 4 company vehicles and my truck, no problems. And my autozone replaced the pads several times for free over the years on my old 99, haven't had to replace any of the sets on the company trucks.

Junk and Junk in my opinion.
After owning three F250's and now an F150 I always belly up and buy Motorcraft pads and rotors. To each his own but for me they last longer.

As is always brought up, there are only a handful of manufactoring companys that make things like spark plugs, brake pads, etc., and they simply put different names on the boxes. They do change formulas in things like their semi metalic pads, which changes the price but don't get too hung up on the name on the box. I wouldnt pay an extra $ for manufactory brands; there is an UNBELIEVABLE mark up on them and someone just subcontracted to make the parts and put ford or GM on them.
I havent had much luck with ceramic pads. Put some on a couple of sports cars, and they are CRAZY dusty. (have to wash the wheels constantly) Semi met work great and last a long time. Get some durlast gold or wagners and enjoy the truck

I tried the ceramic pads and since I do alot of extreme driving, they weren't the pad for me. I ended up going with Duralast Gold SD pads. I use them on all of our ambulances and have had zero problem with them. They wear even and the rotors don't warp. Unfortunately we aren't able to get lifetime warranty because of our business, but that's what Im sticking with. I usually get two rounds up front with each rotor. I really do it as a safety precaution. What happened to the days of being able to have rotors turned?

We carry some great brake rotor and pad kits on our website for all kinds of applications. I run them on all of my vehicles. They work well.
