Hi everyone. My '08 F150 turns on the headlights and interior lights when it starts to get dark, when I press the door unlock button on my key fob, as it should. I decided to install a Neverland LED bulb with canbus decoder kit (H13 or 9008) for headlights. Now, when pressing the fob button when getting dark or when dark, the headlights and interior lights come on for a few seconds, then go out. Otherwise, they headlights/interior lights work fine when the engine is running, be it daytime or night time. What can I do to keep the headlights/interior lights on when first unlocking the door with the key fob at night? Thanks.

 

I thought that was normal? Mine stay on for about 15 seconds when I hit the keyfob at night. I also have LED 9008/H13 headlight bulbs (no canbus decoder, didnt need it). Even with halogen 9008/H13 bulbs, the time they stayed on is the same as the led's.

 

Yes, it is normal for the lights to go off after awhile. It just seems to me that they now go off sooner than before. Maybe I'm dreaming??? Also, I notice that at night, the low beam doesn't seem to travel as far as the OEM's. My natural vision position I'm used to looks beyond where the road is lit up in front of the truck. High beam is fantastic. I'm going to turn the LED bulbs 1/4 turn and see if that makes a difference.
