Hey guy's I have an 05 lariat 4x4 ,my question is when I put the truck in gear the doors lock I was wondering are they suspose to unlock when you put it in park and cut it off, and if it does how do you set it,mine locks but doesn't unlock or is it a programming issue , an option or what?

 

They should unlock when you put it in park. There are directions in the owners manual on how to turn off the auto-lock feature.

 

I don't won't to turn the auto lock off I want it to unlock when I put it in park it's kind an inconveince to unlock the other doors once you get out.

 

my 06 does not unlock when I put it in park. I couldn't figure out how to program it to do so. I just turned the auto lock off :-( I like having the doors locked, but couldn't deal with them remaining locked.

 

mine doesn't unlock on it's own so if I need to get into the passanger side I either hit unlock on the door before I get out or I hit unlock on the FOB not too hard

 

That's beause you don't ride with my impatient wife.

 

Ahh, I was just about to make this same thread. My 04 has auto lock, but will not auto-unlock the rear doors as well. I thought maybe the child locks were engaged, but alas they were not. It really is an inconvenience at times, wonder what Ford engineers were thinking with that one? The wifes 07 Exploder has an auto-unlock feature on her menu so this must have been an "Oh yah!" moment for Ford around that time.
