Audio Suggestions
Alright guys,
Looking to upgrade the stock sound system and wanna ask for some advice.
First off I have the stock Audiophile 6 CD AM/FM Radio that IS SAT ready. I use the PIE.net Ipod Interface and unfortunately its CRAP.......
I am looking for:
A) Ipod Compatibility
B) HIGH QUALITY sound
C) Moderate Bass
What am I looking @ here as far as new speakers, sub, headunit and amp?
Budget is preferably around 500$ and I'm new to this so I dunno if thats crazy talk or not...........thanks in advance...

with $500 its going to be real hard to find what your looking for, im not a stereo genius but ive have a lot systems in my cars. you can get a nice headunit with ipdod capibility for under $500 for sure, are you wanting just a standard single din unit or or you talking a double din screen or even a double din deck? im not too sure on what new speakers and stuff like that cost now, i havent done stereo stuff for a few years.

Single Din headunit will be just fine. Really and truly I would just like higher quality sound than what I currently have and ipod compatibility. Loud BASS is definitely not a must considering I don't listen to that HIP HOP or RAP JUNK.......hahaha.

Mardybum, check out my sticky in the audio subforum HERE. With your budget I'd recommend retaining the stock head, adding an PIE FRD04-AUX and running a lower budget version of my setup HERE.
Look at pheonix gold's RSD65CS HERE for your front doors (no rears) at $60, a used 4x100 RMS amp, an ebay box for a single 10 for around $50, and the Infinity 1050W HERE for $70.

I currently have the PIE FRD04-AUX as stated in my first post....Unfortunately for me I believe I received a defective device....It's been out of warranty and I never contacted them after that. Do you have any feedback for the USASPEC devices?
