Argument for E Fans
Most cars and trucks these days utilize an E-Fan. They use less space, they cool better, and don't cause any drag on the engine to operate. This equates to slightly better MPG, although you and I don't see any huge significance, the auto manufacturers do when they add it all up on cars sold. Helps them meet the continuing Fed guidelines for fleet fuel economy.

Very true. However, I guess the point I was trying to make was the fact that the e fan debate here, whether or not they are worth it, really shows in this video. Since we have clutched fan setups stock, I would love to know the exact hp that this is robbing the engine vs an e fan setup.
Electric fans are great but the problem I have found is finding a aftermarket controller as durable and reliable as a motorcraft part. Even on my mustang which came from the factory with a electric fan the SJB is known to have shorting/burning issues and problems over time. With a truck reliability is what matters to most people then squeezing every last HP out of a engine so that is probably why they chose the setup we have, that and cost.
