i heard from a friend that i could take my truck and have it tuned. has anyone done this to their truck? If yes how much power gain or what benefits did you get. also how much money

Are you looking at a tuner you purchase to use yourself? Or are you talking about the Ford programming that is released periodically? Right after I bought my pickup, I had it checked over by my mechanic. He updated the program on it through Ford's service program. This gave me the latest tuning to maximize power, mileage, etc. There was a slightly noticeable increase in power and mileage, definitely worth it since it was free for me.
