Default Anybody ever installed one of the ebay 3rd brake lights?

Ordered a new LED 3rd brake light off eBay. Part came in today and it fits but it has a completely different harness, the OEM uses 3 plugs and this new one only has 1, 3 pin female plug. Have any of you guys bought one of these. I emailed the seller to see what to do. I would rather not splice into the OEM harness but I can if need be.

You should be able to unclip the harness from the truck (which will take the 3 plugs off) it will be kind tough to get too. Once you do that your LED one will click right into where you took the harness off... Its confusing to explain but I hope I helped

Yup hade the same problem, just push out the button that hold the harness and pull it up farther!

Good to go!

Got it done, my hands are to big to fit in there to push the pin out to release it, had to take out the retaining pins on the inside headliner and force my hand in there and slid it out. Also had to knock out a piece of plastic that would allow it to fully clip in. Looks good, defiantly doesn't put out much light on the cargo lights. It'll do.

I got one with white LEDs for the cargo and it actually is pretty good in the dark. I'm still planning on installing bed LEDs tho.

I have big hands as well as poor eyesight. Finally cold-chiseled off the nylon retaining strap button and the rest was very easy. I'm with madeSICC on the cargo light brightness.
