Default Any Solution to the Shaking Mirror Issue?

Hello guys!

Has anyone figured out a solution for the infamous shaking mirror issue on F150's?

My first truck, an 03, and my current truck, an 06, have had this issue. Both mirrors shook on the 03, but so far only the drivers side is shaking on the 06.

I plan on doing a complete take down and examination of the mirror tomorrow. There has to be an issue that is atleast able to be seen. The mirror mount itself, the part that is bolted to the door, doesn't shake, but the mirror housing does, right at the pivot point. I hope it is as simple as a loose bolt or nut in there, but I doubt it would be that easy.

Anyone else figured this out already? I have only seen people taking the trucks to the dealer to get them replaced. There has to be a better solution.

Thanks for any help you guys can give me!

I've found my on my truck only the drivers side glass vibrates a little at highway speed. Passenger side it perfect. I believe most aftermarket mirrors shake like this. Maybe yours has been replaced

So here is a picture of the disassembled mirror. It does look different from any example I have seen online, and different from the passenger side. Perhaps it is aftermarket.

My aftermarket tow mirrors from 1Aauto shake a bit. My stockers didn't. I've contemplated just putting a dab of black silicone in the corners so that they can't move. I don't find myself adjusting the mirrors anyways so might as well lock them in place.
