Default Anti Theft Disable

Hey all, I disconnected my battery to change a COP, when I connected the battery back my doors were all of the sudden locked. When I used my key to open the door I started to hear a beeping sound, then the alarm goes off. So now I have the battery disconnected, any ideas?

I do not have a key fob, just a key only.

Thanks

Default Pats system is not recognizing your electronic key

You can have a mechanical key to open doors etc but it will not start truck . It senses proximity to a good electronic key . Could be pats has gone bad no simple work around security system . Try another electronic key . Otherwise you are going to have to deal with dealer . Be prepared to prove owner ship . Price varies from one dealer to another . Usually it takes two factory orig keys to make another .

The beeping sound has me curious. My 08 makes no sounds other than the standard chime. Are you running an aftermarket alarm system?

Thanks for the replies. It had some aftermarket system put on by the previous owner. I snipped the alarm this morning so all there is is the factory beeping which is bearable to deal with. I left the positive battery terminal off last night, went out to start the truck this morning and it fired right up. When I went back out about 30 mins later to run some errands the doors were locked and PATS was engaged, uggh. Towing it to the stealership tomorrow 😒

Aftermarket car alarms....ughh. Such ***** pain to follow-on owners. Good luck. I'd almost be tempted to tow it to a car alarm shop and have someone knowledgeable remove it, but I've had a few beers today😵
