Default Another trailer wiring question

I tried the search, and then read all night, but didn't find an answer.
2006 f150 supercab, tow and go, 4x4.
I want constant power going to the trailer aux/battery connection. It is only "key on" power from the factory. How do I do this?
I assume the wire goes under the hood somewhere? Would I just unhook it out of the relay and connect it to the battery?

That's an option; just be sure to add an inline fuse. I would never run a hot lead from a battery to a device without a fuse.

You can jump the receivers for the 30 and 87 poles of the Trailer Tow Relay in the Central Junction Box and leave the relay out. The relay is after the 30 Amp fuse in the 106 location.

I dont know the wiring, but if I took it off the relay and connected it to the battery, it would still go through the fuse block? Which wire and relay is it under the hood?

It should be the fuse box in the passenger kick panel. Numbers are on the cover, legend is in the owner's manual. The other info is in my post above, you may have missed it.

Gator- I pull the relay out and then use a couple spade connectors and a wire to jump it out? Everything is done on the front of the block. I dont have to get behind it?

You should be able to find a flat/blade crimp on connector that will securely replace it. Just remember if you leave the trailer hooked up, you could drain your truck's battery.

I would heat shrink the wire and connectors for a little insurance.

ok male spade connectors. I have never had a problem draining the battery. I just need it for the dome light in my enclosed trailer. Thanks for the info!

No problem, I can give you the wire colors and locations if you decide to go another route. Let me know.

Is that relay only for the trailer aux? If so, I would think that is all that I need to do.
