another opion
Just bought a to me new truck only to find out after signing papers and buying this 2005 f-150 king ranch. Test drive was fine so I buy. The next day after the engine nice and warm I get the nocking and all the rest that apparently come with these motors. I had a full diagnostics done and came back with codes
po22/int cam position timing over bank 2
p0345/cmp sensor A problem bank 2
p1134/engine oil temp out of range
p0300- misfire
engine noise/left side (cold) R&R phasers and lash adjusters
The thing is previous owner had all parts replaced before and my mechanic said he can do it but it will happen again in another 50,000 miles
My mechanic says new moter needed.
Now I need another opion on this.
The dealership I bought is of no help and warranty says it is a preexisting issue and they will not help.

lemon laws applies to new from within 18 months and repeated problems of the same thing. I just got a very expensive lesson learned. Now to figure out how to fix it without having to replace the motor unless I do have to.I bought through a used car dealership. To find out they are sheisty people.
In 2 months my 04 scab XLT that I bought used in 08 with 55k will be paid off...which will have cost me 30k. I've had six glorious years but I know it's coming to an end and the repairs will be expensive. Until I give this truck to my son I won't own another vehicle though. If you didn't get raked over the coals and can figure out how to get it fixed up I'm sure you'll have a lot of great memories that will black out this ordeal. Good luck. I hope everything works out for you.
