Question another leveling kit question

Ok I'm just going to put it out there I did do a search and can't seem to find the answer I'm looking for.So here it is I know from what I've read that if your not going to put anything on the front end then you should put on a 2" kit,but what would happen if I were to put on a 2.5" kit on it? you see at this point I don't believe I'm going to put anything on the front but my truck didn't come with a skid plate and I was thinking of getting one.

The 2.5" makes the front end seem a little bit higher than the back, if there is no added weight to it. IMO the 2" gives it a perfectly level truck.

What I've been told(and read elsewhere) is that a 4x2 should go 2". A 4x4 that tows alot or hauls alot should go 2". A 4x4 that does not tow or haul alot should go 2.5".

In my personal case, I have an 08 Supercab 4x4 w/5.5' bed. It is the tallest F150(per Ford), and we won't be towing anything heavier then our 4x8 utility trailer. I bought the AutoSpring 2.5".

I had the 2.5" Autospring kit on my truck prior to lifting it and my truck is a 2WD. From the naked eye the truck seemed to sit perfectlyllevel, but if you were to actually measure it it sat about 1/2 taller in the front. The 2" kit would have probably sat perfectly level eye wise and measurement wise. I think you could get away with either kit. If you are thinking about adding larger tires I would error on the side of caution and go with the 2.5" kit.

Thank you all as always you guys have been helpful.I really don't do a lot of towing, but occasionally I tow a boat or my quad I wouldn't think that would be a problem

I used the 2 inch on mine and it leveled out just fine. Unless you have a winch to mount, stick to the 2 inch.
