Default Another FPDR???

Hi all, 2005 f150 5.4 3V 170,000 miles

Long story short, I've had the fuel pump driver relay issue twice now, replaced with FoMoCo both times. Most recent was about 2 years ago.

This morning my truck died on me, seemed to mimic the same symptoms as the previous FPDR issues. I got it going again and it's ran about 50 miles today with seemingly no issues.

The CEL came on after it stalled this morning, codes were P0171 and P0174. (Both banks lean) Fuel pressure is seemingly good, 37-42 psi. The long term fuel trim is high. Around 10 at idle and around 30 at highway speed.

CEL comes back on after erasing.

Could this be another FPDR issue? The only thing that concerns me is over the winter my alternator died, I had to limp it back home on considerably low voltage (-20 weather, I live in the middle of nowhere) I'm worried I damaged the fuel pump.

Another have any thoughts? Thanks in advance!

if you’re fuel psi is maintaining at ~ 37-42 psi, then your FPDM and your fuel pump are working just fine.

next time you have a failure, try to get the fuel psi reading while it’s dead.

when it died this most recent time, what did you do, and/or how long did you have to wait before it started again?

It's NOT always the driver module
Fuel pumps fail too
