Default Alternator Bad?

Battery light came on today. '05 F150 SCREW 5.4. My edge evo programmer is showing 0 amps when running. Is it safe to assume that the alternator has gone south? If so which one should I order from Rockauto. They have several listed. I'm leaning toward the REMY remanufactured.

Yeah go new. I went through 5 remans before my local mechanic said hell with it and dropped a new one. Even this one the light comes on from time to time - about every week for a few seconds. When it leaves me stranded I am doing it right next time and buying new motorcraft and doing it myself.

Our trucks have a long history of a love / hate relationship with Reman Alts... suggest a motorcraft..

Thanks to all. Mod please close this thread. I have discovered another problem and will do a separate post.
