The All Inclusive Tire Review Thread
After reading a few dozen tire review threads about one specific tire per thread, I thought maybe it would be a good idea to work on throwing together one thread that everyone can go to post a review of their tires.
Post manufacturer, specific tire, tire size, miles driven, tread wear, performance, and whatever you think is relevant. Be sure to throw in a picture as well!
My set up for example:
My fall/winter tires are Goodyear Duratrac's, 275/70r18, 10k miles driven, still show 16-17/32nds, great in the snow, rain, and dry pavement, I don't really go out of my way to find mud but they do well come hunting season in the fields. Tires are pretty quiet for having a relatively aggressive tread pattern. Didn't lose any mpg after switching from the same size BFG rugged terrains, still average 18mpg highway.

More than one??
Meet my SCAB may she RIP... Bought her with 9K and ran the stock Michelins till about 21K
FIRST set.
Firestone Destination A/T 285/70/17 WHAT A TIRE! 3 of the 4 mounted perfect with no weight and the 4th took a quarter shot. They ran awesome, smooth, and quiet. Billed as an AT, but failed to look part. I loved these tires and ran them till you could see the air in them! Appx 58K with my aggressive driving habbit. Shoulda bought another set but I didn't...
SECOND tire
BFG A/T KO (Pictured) 285/70/17
Didn't have the money at the time to buy a new set when my Firestones wore out, so my boss had these laying around when he took them off his Cummins. These were my first set of BFGs in a while. I was worried at first cause historically I had bad luck with them slinging belts. 4 tires out of 2 sets, but the KO was different... BFG fixed their issue. Ran these for about 15K. Bought me another year.
THIRD tire...
Hankook Dynapro AT/M 285/70/17 (Wish I had a do over on this mistake!) Remember when I said I SHOULD have bought the Firestones again? Well I wanted something more aggressive looking. Enter the Dynapro AT/M... My coworker had them and liked them, so I bought a set. Shoulda known it was bad when I saw all the lead on the wheels. They rode TERRIBLE! So bad I couldn't drink coffee driving about 45 MPH or I'd be wearing it. Thought maybe it would get better over time... Nope! Did some research and found these tires are made in 2 different countries, Korea and China with Korea being the preferred. I went to my coworkers truck and sure enough his were made in Korea. Mine... In China. His truck drove night and day difference from mine. I put about 15K on these whem that fateful day came that an older gen F150 pulled out in front of me and into my lane. Smashed through a ditch and hit a culvert. USAA totaled her out 3 days later.
I have an 05 SCrew (pictured in my avatar) now with the BFG ATs again. They were on the truck when I bought it. I don't dislike them, but I'll be changing over to an MT when they wear out.

New set of Cooper AT3 4S replacing the AT3 set
I ran 70,567 on a set of AT3, rotated every 5k, I live in Shreveport, LA and do a lot of driving about 25k a year...that is a lot to me, lol. Size 275/55/R20 and I have to say the Cooper did very well, I got them just before a trip to CO, and we saw a lot of snow in the high country, truck never skipped a beat, saw a couple of ice storms in MO, high water in LA, beach on the road way after a couple of tropical storms and these tires took the beating and kept my KR rolling along. Even this summer I ran MS coast to LA during Barry and the tires still did well in the rains roll west on HWY 90 thru to LA anthem up I-49 at the peak of the storm.
Yes, I’m bragging on my tires but it’s only because their went the distance! And no I don’t work for a tire company I just have used this brand of tires on 5 of my vehicles (1999 explorer 5 sets 300K all Coopers), no kidding!
New Cooper AT3 4S
Rocky Mountain National Park 30” of snow truck’in along
Coopers on The 99 after driving the distance, Earth to the Moon, lol
KC Ice storm Coopers never lost their footing!
What’s a little rain?
Somewhere this is a highway?’
Barry did not rock these Coops off the road!

Cooper Discoverer SRX in 285/45/22 here. I have had great success with them. Great performance, both wet and dry, and excellent wear. Really impressed with its ability to handle rain. When these wear out, I'll definitely be going with another set of them.

I guess the Wildpeak is more of a street tire, do more highway driving now? Just wondering reason for type of tire change.

I'm running the Toyo R/T now on my truck, I love the aggressive look and the road noise(I like hum). On other vehicles I like quiet but the truck I don't. Offroad they grip well.
