As far as I know it is a factory alarm as the local dealership did a vin check on it when I bought the truck (used) and they said the only thing that came up was that it had some work done with the alarm. Now for that past few days it would honk once every now and again. I changed the battery in the remote thinking this might have something to do with it. Now I leave the truck unlocked as the alarm has gone off with the horn going off constant. This has happened 3 times now. Any ideas, as I am sure it will be a small fortune for the dealer to look at it. Thanks

 

mine keeps going off every other day or so. i cant figure it out. hope someone has some ideas where to look.

 

i had this problem after i changed my batery it would constantly go off but i have a gryphon and i called the dealer ship and they said to set it to vallet mode then wait a few min then set it back and that might work but what i did was set my gryphon back to stock then waited a few min and set the program back to the way i had it and the problem went away hope it works for ya

 

I got fed up and took it to the dealership yesterday and they said that 2 wires were hooked up wrong. I find it hard to believe that all of a sudden my alarm starts acting up because the wires had been hooked up wrong the whole time. We'll see I guess

 

Anyone know how to reset your OEM alarm for an 08 F150? Mine has been freaking out for days. Getting really frustrating!!! Not to mention embarrassing!!! UGH! Keep having to override it to start it without it goin off again. Think it is stuck in vallet mode. Any suggestions??
