the best thing i ever did for my truck is vin etch the windows...a theif is less likely to get a etched car because it is more trouble to part the truck out in a quick manner....you wouldnt buy a door at a chop shop if it was etched with a diffrent vin for example because then its tracked to you and your screwed....

I think I am going to go with the Viper. Are they able to adapt the keyless entry to the Viper remote?

Default Alarm Up grade from experience

My show truck kept getting broken into with the factory alarm. all they did was take a screw driver and hit the door lock down unlocking the door with no harm or noise! i upgraded to a autopage lcd pager alarm the rs-900 it has a remote start and pager up to 1 MILE RADIUS! i got it off ebay for $130 best buy installed it after arguing with them for a while for $300. I love it i can set the temp and it come on and off you can check the temp in your truck set a daily time for your truck to start its pretty sweet totaly worth it i feel safe its so sensitive.

yeah they actually threw in actuators so i could have keyless entry when i got mine installed. i work with the car install guys at circuit city and they bridge over keyless entry all the time. there are a huge array of wires that get put into your truck when you get the viper alarm installed... and four of them get your keyless entry bridged over lol

i have an autopage set up on mine and it does help out greatly. its a great way to keep random thug thiefs that just want your belongings and your system. no i just had that low jack thing put on but not too sure exactly how that will work.
