The Ford repair manuals state you are supposed to remove the airbag fuse and positive battery cable BEFORE removing the seats to prevent a possible air bag implosion or seat belt latch then re-insert in a certain sequence to reset the SRS (suplimental restraint system).
Check your owners manual for the SRS fuse; pull it, disconnect the positive battery cable, wait 15 seconds, re-install cable, re-install fuse, turn key to on. It should be cleared. This would also be the method used to remove the seats: remove fuse, disconnect battery positive cable, remove seats, then install seats, fuse, and positive battery cable.
If it continues to flash a code, you broke something; I'd suspect the seat belt catch; check the seat wiring connections to the seat belat catch to verify tight connections.
Always follow proceedures such as the above to prevent false codes.

fyi the code chart IN THIS THREAD IS DEAD WRONG. I talked to a ford mechanic friend who looked up the code on his ford mechanic site(no public access for obvious reasons) my code 33 was for the driver side tensioner on the seat belt. I Scavenged the old one off from my cloth driver seat and replaced. NOW NO CODE!!!!!!!
So to anyone who buys a set of used seats from a wrecked truck make sure to ask or verify that the seat belt tensioner charge has not went off during the accident, otherwise you will need to swap/replace it. I think the passenger side was fine since there must not have been someone sitting in the seat when the accident occurred.
Any ways SO happy with my new Leather seats. They look and feel great~!

Ok everyone... I haven't been on here in about 5 1/2 months. I know... shame on me!. Anyway, I got so busy with so many other things that I have been ignoring the airbag light ever since I posted rhis thread. However, since you guys have given me some options to a possible cure, I'll go give it a shot and report back a little later. Promise I won't wait 5 1/2 months to respond again.
Thanks F150 Kings!

I just put the seats from a 2012 FX4 into my 2013 XLT and now my airbag light is on. It does not flash a code it comes on when I turn the the key for a few seconds turns off then comes on and stays on. Now what? Where do I start with no code.

5x5 beeping total of 25 times and stops and does another 30 min later turned off air bag and the little light marked off stays lit.the air bag light doesn turn on the dash where the guages are.any clues?
Turn the key to on (do not start). The airbag symbol in the cluster will flash a number of times (count the times for first number)), pause, then flash again (count these times for the second number), then pause, then repeat this three times. For example, the the symbol flashes twice (2), pauses, then flashes five (5) times, pauses, then starts again with 2 flashes, then 5 flashes....your "code" is 25. Look this up in the provided link to see what your fault is.
Keep in mind that the link shows what is "common" for all vehicles; Ford has additional codes for additional components of their airbag system.
Most common are the drivers side belt latch, or the center console warning bulb(above the radio).
Count the flashes, post the code here if you need additional help.
