Default Airbag light on?

Any reason the airbag light would just flick on one day?

does it flash in a pattern? if so, report back and/or look up that flashing code (ex: flash 3 time, then 3 times again, then pause, would be code 33)

Hmmm what does the EGR have to do with the airbag?

Corroded crash sensor connector behind the grill is probably the number 1 cause, followed by the "passenger airbag off" bulb bring burned out and then behind that maybe the slip ring

Hmmm I just got back from a trip through multiple zones of -40c ish with a TON of blowing snow/salt/sand so that front facing sensor could have gotten toasted for sure. I'll go turn the key on and see how many blinks it makes to determine the warning code.

Probably a good idea to toss a makeshift skirt on this winter to help it warm up and protect my grill from flying socks and sand etc.

Thanks.

It's blinking 4-2 so yah front impact sensor. I'll try cleaning it off with that electronic sage cleaning spray and if still tossing the code just replace it.

Merry Christmas fellas 🎄

So truck started beeping on me on startup and after a bit of reading I figured it might be because of my analog bambi mode wire job and sure enough as soon as I replaced the fuse with a fresh one airbag light is off and back to normal so either I didn't ground it good enough or my truck just doesn't want to be altered lol.

that is good if that is all that it is. the sensor is a big safety issue/component, so you may want to give it a lookover just to be sure (when i got that code, when i went to remove mine it literally fell apart). you might find this helpful/interesting, even if you don't need it right now:
