Default airbag code 33 for 2006 F150

I NEED HELP!!!!
I have a 2006 F150 XL and change out the gauge cluster for one with a tach. All the functions didn't work but I was okay with it. After about 3 months or so the airbag light stopped working and had a series of 5 tones 5 times. Did research and it said the airbag light had burned out. So I got a really nice cluster from ebay and had it reprogrammed per my VIN number and all functions works perfectly as the OEM cluster. "BUT" the airbag light is blinking 3 times - pauses - 3 times more. So I reinstalled my original factory cluster (no tach) and the same problem. What I find out is its code 33. I read conflicting posts and threads on this site for this problem. Someone please advise how to fix this problem and if I need to replace parts what part numbers I will need.

LFC 33 and 34/DTC B2292 — Restraint System - Safety Belt Pretensioner Fault

my first recommendation would be take the plugs out under the seat and make sure they are clean and fit well.

just do not try to put direct power to anything or you will blow every bag and pretensioner

You should only replace the old cluster with the exact same type.

I had this same problem on my '05 within the last 6 months. As mentioned by djfllmn, you're gonna be looking at the driver's side pretensioner and its related wiring. First test is to look between the seats and unplug the pretensioner, there are two connections. Make sure there's no obvious debris and plug them back in. Also, on page 3 of the attachment in the link below, make sure your little locking tab is present, they call it the "CPA" in the book. Then check under seat connections. The code does not need a battery disconnect; if you have fixed the problem it will immediately stop flashing. If that doesn't fix it, here's a link to the Ford Pinpoint test that involves checking resistances throughout the system. In the link, it mentions depowering and repowering the system, I am not sure what cab you have, but on my SCAB with split bench, the SRS module is under the center seat, and beneath the carpet with a perforation in the carpet that I needed to tear back.

I am not sure if you are a FORScan user, and don't want to flood you with information, but you can access the SRS module in FORScan and check the status and resistance of the pretensioner and buckle. This is how I ultimately narrowed down that it was my physical pretensioner, and not faulty wiring.
All that being said, I purchased a new pretensioner on eBay for roughly $80 and the problem was fixed, I am sorry I do not have the part number handy. I'll admit I did not fully go through the pinpoint test and just bought the part.

As mentioned, if you go the pinpoint route, be cautious as voltage in the wrong place will make your problem worse. Good luck!
