adjusting headlights

Default adjusting headlights

ever since i put the leveling kit on my truck, people keep flashing me like my highbeams are on....but there not...i looked for an adjusting screw, but have not seen one or seen and way to adjust them down a little...can anyone help...thanks

there is an adjusting screw, it is in the middle of the light its kind of bellow everything, it only adjusts up and down. it is a small square type screw. its there, hope this helps

Or you could just flash your high beams back at em to let em know you were already running low beams.
Seriously, the owner guide shows a diagram of the headlight with the adjustment screw. Use a 4mm socket and turn it counter-clockwise to lower the adjustment.
Don't go too far or you'll be illuminating only a small area in front of you and you'll be more dangerous than if you were just annoying a few oncoming drivers.

If you don't have your manual which tells you how to do this. Park truck on level surface. Shine lights are wall or some surface 25 t from the headlights. Measure the distance from the ground to the bulb. Now measure the sam distance from the ground on the wall. I marked it with Painters tape. Your beams will have a definate horizontal line. Your line should be where that mark (tape) is.

That's the Ford manual directions.

Awsome guys...thanks. BTW i have been hitting them back with both the high and low beam when i pull the trigger..LMAO!!!..this was a big help, because i do not have the manual...once again thanks...Dan
