My wife owns a 2004F-150 and yesterday i jumped in wifes truck and went to adjust column and it was just hanging there.steering is ok just cant lower or raise column.What kinda problem am i going to have fixing this before i face a whoopin from her.Oh and by the way,1st post ,and hello from an old guy in Georgia.

 

So it has an adjustment lever? Can you pull it and it locks in but doesn't hold the wheel in the correct spot? Maybe the "locking pin" or whatever hols it broke. Never had that issue before. Hope someone here has (I know that sounds bad...) and they can tell you how easy/hard and what kind of pricetag to expect.
