Has anyone installed the message center option into a 2007 XLT that doesn't have it factory installed? And if so, is it fully functional? Does it require adding addition wiring or sensors? I'd like to add what looks like a real useful tool.

 

When i did my center console/EATC conversion i used a complete lariat dashboard with its wiring harness and installed the lariat cluster and the message console worked... to include the Engine check, time, miles to empty, trip, average MPG...

You replaced the entire cluster plus the center console? Are the harnesses that different or do you think the center console would work? Could you post photos?

If you could somehow get your hands on a lariat wiring harness with EMTC you can most def just plug everything right up and replace your cluster with a lariat cluster that has the message center. Also if you want the center console with shifter you'd need to either 1. connect the proper wires or 2. get the lariat harness that has a center shifter.
