Adding headers - O2 question
Hey guys,
2004 F150 Lariat, 5.4L.
I'm in the process of removing cracked manifolds and replacing with mid-length pacemaker headers.
The mid length requires that you cut part of the "down tube" off and weld in a piece of down pipe that comes with the headers. The new down pipe has a O2 senor bung in it.
Now my current exhaust starts at the manifold then has an O2 then a cat or resonator then another O2 then another cat or resonator then to the y-pipe.
My question is: which is the cat and which is the resonator?
I suspect that the first one is the cat since there is an O2 sensor before and after it. Pacemaker says nothing about eliminating a cat yet if it is the first one then it would be deleted. Also based on their instructions, I would not have a second bung for the second O2.
Yeah I called them and they seem to have no idea of what's going on. I'm going to call them again and see if I get someone that knows something.
Your help is appreciated.
