Does it use the cig lighter for power, or is it hardwired in that spot?

Jealous. Can you please share where, what & how?

I’m painting my kids room now so not enough time to write out all the details but will later. Its a system that is supposed to be plugged into the cig lighter. I hard wired instead so it’s really flush and works with the ignition. I took out the lighter where it’s just a hole, and I mounted the screen in there. I wired it into the switched power that goes to the hvac controller. It uses external tpms sensors, meaning it replaces your valve caps. They also make an internal that I’m going to do when I get my new wheels mounted. It shows psi and tire temp for each wheel. |
The issue I seem to have with these systems is the possibility of the sensors coming loose or ripping the stems out.
