Default Accident & Some Questions

So there I am driving along, minding my own business, when this a-hole decides he needs to do a U-turn right in front of my truck. I had absolutely no time to react other than try to move over, but nope, not gonna happen. I absolutely crush this guys car in the rear quarter panel, my truck lifts up almost on top of the guys car busting out his back window in the process. My truck comes sliding to a stop and, well you can see the rest from the pics.

I have to find a repair shop and take it there tomorrow to begin to get it put back together agains. A couple of questions I have are;

1. What are some things I should ask the shop before decinding who to take it to?
2. Will the repair shop replace aftermarket parts damaged in the accident? i.e. lift parts, bull bar?
3. What should I look for before receiving the truck back after repairs are complete?

Thanks

sorry to hear about your truck as long as the insurance comp. is paying I can't see why they wouldn't replace after market parts. I would make sure paint is to your liking make sure all the lines are straight and even good luck hope every thing goes alright

Make sure they have the truck aligned. Ask to see some of the bodyshops work. Look them up on the BBB. Even though the BBB is not a governing body like ppl think it is they still log complaints on the web. Find out how long they have been in business in that same location. On the truck look for sanding marks left after its painted. Black will show it up really well. Find out if they are using aftermarket or OEM parts. Push to have the insurance pay for OEM. Your truck did not come with an aftermarket fender.

Dang, that sucks, I hate to see a nice truck messed up like that, but Im glad you are okay more than the truck.

Like NGM said, make sure you get the OEM replacement parts, and they do a good job on the paint.

Switch that rim out for the one you were having problems with while you are at it, that way it will get replaced for sure, lol
