I too have a traction control symbol on my dash swapped from a lariat and I had the icon on my original XL cluster. But I have never seen them light up even when doing doughnuts on concrete. I think it's possible only the fx2 and fx4 models had traction control because of their limited slip differentials.

what you have my friend is a aftermarket gauge cluster face. I have looked at them before for my lariat cluster and that one was on the website for xlt models.
