Default ABS senser removal

I have a 2004 2wd I am trying to remove the front right abs senser. I have tried to remove but seam stuck. I tried some brake cleaner but did not work. Afraid of breaking off. Do I have to take the rotor off and push it out from the other side?

If you cannot remove the old sensor, you need to buy a new hub. There is no way, I know of, to access it from the other side. Others may know for sure.

Try grabbing it with a vice grip. If it breaks, drill it out with a slightly smaller bit. There is a slug of plastic and then you hit a metal pin you should be able to remove with a small magnet probe. Then clean out the hole and insert the new sensor.

Had to do this with my Ranger. Take your time and make sure you clean all of the plastic out of the hole before you insert the new sensor. I put a touch of antiseize on the new one in order to (hopefully) make it easier to remove if need be.

I have found that along with poor design on the spark plugs in the 5.4 engine Ford also had a poor design on the ABS system that starts with the rotors. The ring on the back of the rotor is the problem. If it is not mounted on the rotor with no runout you will be ok but I bought two rotors that were bad and finally took the truck to a Ford dealer and they replaced it with thier rotors. The problem is some of their rotors were also bad also. Bad design. A retired Ford mechanic told me to put the ABS ring on the rotor they heat it up, slip it on and when it cools it should be ok. If the ring is not perfect you will have major problems. Again bad design and It cost me a lot of money.
