Question ABS Light Code Reader

I have an ABS light that intermittently comes on and off and it has been doing it a lot more lately, so I am guessing the problem is getting worse...

Anyway, I have read a lot on it, and I am going to clean the sensors, check the wiring, etc...but I need to know if I get this code reader, can it read the codes I need it to read, and since its intermittent, will I be able to pull codes if the light is currently off when I try it out...
Amazon Amazon

Thanks

Doesn't the code reader read through the obd port?
can't a parts store read the codes, and make up your mind about a code reader later?

It does read it through the OBD port, but I read that a regular code reader won't read the codes, you have to have a special ABS code reader and that you either had to buy one or go to a Ford dealer...

So, that was why I wanted to know if this one would work...

removing and cleaning sensors takes about 5 minutes on a stock or lifted truck
